Right where God wants Us.

Located in the Florida Panhandle 25 miles West of Tallahassee and 50 miles North of Panama City Beach are the towns of Quincy and Gretna. Centenary Camp is on the outskirts of Gretna surrounded by farm land and miles of moss covered trees. The camp is in a rural part of the county near the Georgia line.

Gadsden County has been statistically the State’s poorest. Options for work are limited and resources are thin.

Our base is Centenary Camp. Owned and operated by the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church; ReCreation is a ministry of the Camp and Conference. The camp has air conditioned dorms for males and females that sleep 40 people each. The Lodge is equipped for 24 in 6 Rooms that sleep 4 per room with private bath and showers and a central meeting space.  The Lodge has a small kitchen for use as well. The Dining Hall/Kitchen can seat 100 people and is where larger group meetings and meals take place.

An outdoor Pavilion makes a great space for outdoor worship or meetings in the open air. Our Chapel is next to the Prayer/Meditation Garden and can easily house a mid-sized group for devotions or lectures. We have an additional building similar to the chapel available for group meeting space as well.

The Chapel and Garden are the ending point for a Prayer Trail that meanders comfortably through the woods offering individuals or groups a quiet space to hear God speaking through nature and the peace of the woods. Open space and fields with outdoor opportunities are throughout the property. Our pool is the perfect space to cool down and enjoy a respite from a hot day.
